Soft to extra-soft silicone gels are not easy to dispense in small volumes. The repeatable application that is essential for automated production can only be achieved with non-contact dispensing. With contact dispensing, the material properties do not allow the necessary precision. Residues on the dispensing needle or threads between the dispenser and the substrate are the main problem.
However, these silicones offer considerable advantages, particularly in the production of sensitive electronic components. They minimise the thermo-mechanical stresses considerably and thus ensure that the components function perfectly.
With the perfecdos PDosX1, such materials can be applied precisely and stably at frequencies of up to 300 Hz.
